Who are we?
We are the HobbyRobot team.
We have been closely involved with robotics for many years, gaining experience and successes with each passing year. We started as a small team of enthusiastic individuals, coming together with the goal of participating in the FIRST® LEGO® League competition. Over time, we not only improved our skills but also became one of the leading FLL teams in the Czech Republic and central Europe. We slowly expanded our influence, to be a team that regularly represents their country at the international level.

Is it just about FLL?
We are actively involved not only in FLL and various other robotic competitions and projects but also in spreading awareness of robotics and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) among young people. We do this by organizing summer camps, multiple workshops and other educational events throughout the year which inspire many teenagers to become future engineers. Additionally, we have organized numerous competitions, hackathons, and on-line events, together with presenting STEM and robotics at many fairs and exhibitions like Maker Faire, Future Port Prague or Model Hobby.
Children? Adults? Both!
The target group for our activities includes not only children and teenagers but also adults, primarily educators and teachers. Throughout the year, we offer numerous in-person and online trainings to help teachers either enhance their existing skills or get started with STEM education and robotics. We demonstrate how to integrate robotics into school lessons and how to use robots in non-robotic subjects to make them more engaging for teenagers. Another of our objectives is to demystify technology for teachers and build their confidence in this field, especially now that programming and technological proficiency are becoming essential skills for almost everyone.
